About Me
Alexis nuTINI
I have a visceral passion for layering color, pattern, and texture and generating complex printing systems to achieve one-of-a-kind impressions. For over twenty years, I have focused on rigorous experimentation with hand-carved woodblock printing techniques and carving methods assisted by digital technology.
Growing up in Mexico with frequent travel between rural and urban centers significantly influenced my aesthetic. As a child and developing artist, the textiles, murals, hand-painted signs, and colorful architecture made a powerful impression. I currently work in my south Philadelphia print shop, Dos Tres Press. There I work on collaborative editions, develop community print-based projects and explore the possibilities of the woodcut medium.
